KiHa 25 Series 1000 (Takayama Main Line / Taita Line) – Equipped with Slotless Motor

The KiHa 25 series is a general-purpose diesel railcar introduced by JR Central in 2010; it is characterized by a design based on the exterior and interior features of the 313 series electric train (4th production batch).
The 1000 and 1100 series units belong to the 2nd production batch introduced in 2014, forming fixed two-car sets consisting of a 1000-series lead car (with a restroom) and an 1100-series lead car (without a restroom). Starting with this group, the car body features a smooth, beadless design, and the pilot (skirt) includes measures to mitigate collisions with deer.
This product adopts a slotless motor for the drive system and features different car numbers from previous releases. It allows for the operation of not only the compact two-car set but also a four-car formation created by coupling two sets, replicating a configuration seen in actual service. It is also well-suited for operation on compact layouts.
① Accurately reproduces the smooth, beadless car body, exhaust pipes on the end faces, roof-mounted headlights, a front-end design without cab-side destination displays, and a matte-finish stainless steel appearance.
② Headlights, taillights, and front destination displays are illuminated (includes a switch to turn them off); uses white LEDs.
③ Employs a slotless motor for smooth, quiet running performance; a demagnetization plate is pre-installed.
④ Uses body-mounted close couplers (hookless type) at all connection points. Includes a single-tier electrical coupler connector that can be attached to the front coupler of the lead car.
⑤ Includes destination display stickers featuring priority seat markings, anti-slip patterns for the lead car front end, and more.

・ Models the current configuration of the P103 trainset assigned to the Mino-Ota Rolling Stock Depot.
・ Recreates the 1000-series "second batch" (cold-region specification) featuring longitudinal seating.
・ Accurately reproduces distinctive body features of the cold-region 1000-series, such as the deer-collision-resistant pilot (skirt) and the roof-mounted whistle cover.
・ The front display comes pre-printed with "One-man / Local / Takayama." Stickers for "One-man / Local / Gifu" and "One-man / Local / Tajimi" are included for user replacement.
