EF65 0 (JR Style)

The EF65 0 series was developed as an improved successor to the EF60. It is a versatile DC freight locomotive introduced to modernize operations and improve on the EF60. Even after the transition to JR, the EF65 0 series continued to play an active role primarily hauling freight services. Built in large numbers and active nationwide, it later both freight and passenger duties hauling 14-series coaches served and Joyful Trains, demonstrating the class’s versatility beyond its original freight role.
