JNR Series 401 Suburban Train (High-Cab Version) Basic Set
The Series 401 was an AC/DC suburban train developed in 1960 for the Joban Line. While initially featuring a low-cab design, units from KuHa 23 onwards adopted a high-cab configuration, similar to the Series 153.
Before switching to a new white-and-blue-stripe livery in the mid-1980s, the trains were affectionately known as "Akaden" (Red Train) by locals due to their standard AC/DC livery of "Red No. 13" (Rose Pink).
