The KiHa 120 series is a 16-meter-class diesel railcar that debuted in 1992.
Beginning in 2017, the fleet underwent refurbishment, which included upgrading the headlights to LEDs and installing door-opening switches.

● Features the window-blanked configuration resulting from the installation of an onboard restroom.
● Includes a transfer sheet for selecting and applying vehicle numbers.
● "One-man" (driver-only operation) display on the front is pre-printed.
● Includes a sticker sheet for selecting and applying front and certain side destination/information displays.
● Equipped with a constant-lighting circuit board for headlights, taillights, and interior lighting.
● Headlights and taillights feature an ON-OFF switch.
(The front display remains illuminated at all times.)
● Headlights utilize color prisms to replicate both orange and white lighting.
● Taillights are illuminated via red LEDs.
● Interior lighting comes as standard equipment.
● Equipped with TN Couplers (SP) as standard.
● Features a modern power-pickup system and silver-colored wheels.
● Powered by an M-13 motor.
● Capable of navigating "mini-curve" (tight-radius) track.
