JR KiHa 48-500 Series Diesel Car (Morioka Livery) Set

The KiHa 48-500 series was designed for cold-climate operation, featuring sash-style side windows (with the upper section sliding down and the lower section sliding up) and DT44 air-suspension bogies; these units were deployed primarily in the Tohoku region, with significant numbers also stationed in the Chubu area.
Units assigned to the Hachinohe Transport Depot featured the "Morioka livery"—a white body with a red stripe—and operated on the Hachinohe and Tsugaru Lines until 2016.
