The E5 series debuted as the "Hayabusa" in 2011, began coupled operations with the E6 series in 2013, and as of 2022, operates at a maximum speed of 320 km/h. In recent years, luggage storage areas were added inside the train to accommodate larger baggage, resulting in some windows being sealed off.

● Replicates the appearance where certain windows on cars 1 through 8 are sealed off to accommodate the added luggage storage areas in cars 1 through 9
● Roof-mounted anti-slip sections are reproduced via gray printing
● Car numbers are selectable; a transfer sheet is included
● A full 10-car formation can be recreated by combining this product (cars 3, 4, and 5) with Item Nos. 98497 and 98499
