JR Series 225-100 Suburban Train "A-Seat" Set

The Series 225 is a new type of electric train that debuted in 2010.
The 100-series, introduced from 2016 onwards, features a redesigned front end and is available in both 4-car and 8-car configurations.
With the timetable revision in March 2023, the 700-series—featuring the "A-Seat" paid reserved seating service for "Special Rapid" (Shin-Kaisoku) trains—was introduced.

● Fall-prevention gangway curtains for the leading cars are separate parts; two types are included: one for when the car is at the front of the train and one for when it is coupled to another train.
● Combining this set with the <98545> 4-car basic set and <98546> 4-car add-on set allows for the recreation of a full 12-car train formation.
● The front destination display uses interchangeable parts; a pre-printed part is installed, and replacement parts are included.
● Car numbers are pre-printed.
● Headlights and taillights use white LEDs; fog lights illuminate in orange.
● Headlight and taillight circuits feature a constant-lighting function and an ON/OFF switch.
● Leading cars are equipped with TN Couplers (SP) on the cab end.
● Motor unit features a flywheel.
● Uses a modern power pickup system and silver wheels.
