JR 117 Series Commuter Train Sunliner

The 117 series is a commuter train introduced in 1979 to improve passenger service between the Keihanshin area.
(SUNliner) was a rapid train operating between Okayama and Fukuyama, introduced in March 1989 and later renamed (Sunliner).
The train was redesigned in 1992 with surplus 117 series trains introduced as part of an increase in service, and received a special livery change featuring a white base with yellow and red gradations, which garnered much attention.
While the train continued to operate after undergoing modifications such as one-man operation, its paint scheme was simplified in its later years, and the Sunliner livery was finally phased out in 2016.
